The Grotte di Pastena Caves

The Grotte di Pastena is an area of immense importance in term of landscape.
The Grotte di Pastena ensemble is an awesome river cave not far from Rome and a few kms away from the La Voce del Vento Bed and Breakfast.
The guided tour includes two different tunnels of the cave: one is still active and one is fossil.
The tour of the fossil branch begins fron the entrance hall.
The caves have been evolving for the past 2 million years making stalactites and stalagmites.
There is an active bat colony inside the Grotte di Pastena, nothing to worry about, bats stay to themselves on the ceiling, no photography, filming or audio recording is allowed inside.
